Actis’ targets were designed using the International Energy Agency (IEA) Net Zero Emissions by 2050 (NZE) pathway.

The Actis’ Sustainability Policy sets out our approach to delivering value through responsible investment principles, and includes our specific sectoral exclusions. The following exclusion applies to all investments: power generation companies where a significant portion of revenue (greater than 10%) is derived from coal-fired thermal power.

Actis has a long track record of investing behind the energy transition and into climate solutions, and we are on our third decade of doing so. Actis has built or is building 17 renewable energy platforms globally, with c.31GW of energy generation capacity in its portfolio. In 2021, Actis developed its Transition Tool, to enable mitigation of transition risks and direct capital towards low carbon investments and infrastructure. The tool is applied to all investments.
