Liontrust is a specialist fund management company that takes pride in having a distinct culture and approach to running money. Liontrust joined the Net Zero Asset Managers Initiative in May 2022 and made its Initial Target Disclosure in May 2023.

6,063.57 tCO2e/$mn sales. Note that this is the (simple) sum of the respective benchmark WACIs, end 2019, pertaining to NZAMi committed funds and will increase as Liontrust incorporates more funds into the Net Zero Asset Management Initiative.
Engagement threshold baseline
18% of assets, in material sectors within Liontrust NZ committed funds, is considered aligned.
Portfolio coverage target
Liontrust is targeting that 30% of committed AUM in material sectors will be considered net zero, aligned or aligning by 2025. Liontrust is targeting that 50% of committed AUM in material sectors will be considered net zero, aligned or aligning by 2030.
Portfolio decarbonisation reference target
50% less emissions by 2030 – i.e. 3,031.8 tCO2e/$mn sales.
Engagement threshold target
Within the funds that will be managed in line with the Group’s net zero commitment, Liontrust is targeting that 20% of financed emissions in material sectors will be net zero or making net zero aligned actions by 2025 and 40% by 2030.
Within the funds that will be managed in line with Liontrust’s net zero commitment, 55% of financed emissions will be subject to direct or collective engagement and stewardship actions by 2025; 40% by 2030.

With regards to the Portfolio Decarbonisation Reference Target, Scope 1 and Scope 2 are included in the WACI calculation that we are using to measure this ambition. As yet, we do not have sufficient reliable and accurate data to include Scope 3, but plan to include these data points in the future.
