Ownership Capital is a long-horizon equity manager that serves institutional investors seeking a genuinely engaged investment approach that we call ‘ownership investing’. Ownership Capital joined the Net Zero Asset Managers Initiative in July 2021 and made its Initial Target Disclosure in November 2022.

GHG scopes included:
We engage with all portfolio companies to disclose Scope 1, 2 and material Scope 3 emissions by FY 2023 reporting. Regarding emissions reduction targets, companies will follow the latest SBTi criteria; our companies are asked to include Scope 1, 2 and to the extent possible material Scope 3 emissions. As data availability improves on Scope 3 emissions, companies should phase in broader measurement over time.

Policy on coal and other fossil fuel investments:
No. In line with our Net Zero commitment and the recommendations of the Net Zero Asset Managers Alliance, we support the phase out of financial support to thermal coal by 2030 globally. Our Investment Principles lead us to invest in companies which grow through sustainable competitive advantages and increasing relevancy to society over the long term. As a result of these principles, the portfolio currently does not invest in coal or other fossil fuels. We will continue to review our policy throughout time.
