Additional information
Proportion of AUM committed:
We have used the SBTi portfolio coverage methodology and through this identified the material asset classes within scope of our calculations. For us this includes, common stock, corporate bonds, exchange traded funds, REITs, investment in real estate and preferred stock. As and when other asset classes become material to our footprint, have associated target setting methodologies and available data, we will look to incorporate these as part of our review process.
Policy on coal and other fossil fuel investments:
No. We do not currently have a policy in place but are developing one which we would look to share within six months of our SBTI target validation. Alongside this process we are reviewing our approach to engagement and exclusions.
We continue to engage with companies that we have identified as material emitters through our stewardship programme. Our ‘Engagement at Rathbones report’ includes our approach to climate engagement.
