Scope 1 and 2 portfolio emissions are the basis for the targets. We intend to cover Scope 3 and will work towards including it over time based on data availability.

Policy on coal and other fossil fuel investments:

No. Currently Sprucegrove Investment Management has no policy in place, however, part of our investment process is reviewing a company’s percentage of revenues involved in thermal coal production or extraction and/or fossil fuels. We are seeking to fulfil our fiduciary responsibility by investing in companies that strengthen the link between responsible business practices on climate
and profitable growth. Sprucegrove Investment Management will evaluate and strive to avoid, when possible, companies making new investments in thermal coal production or extraction and/or fossil fuels. We will seek to incorporate such a policy into our ESG guidelines and investment guidelines.
