Summa Equity is AB is a a private equity firm based in Sweden and specialising in investments in technology based companies. They joined the Net Zero Asset Managers Initiative in December 2021 and made its Initial Target Disclosure in February 2024.

Summa has used the SBTi methodology to set climate targets. Specifically, the Science Based Targets Portfolio Coverage
approach was used to set targets for investments (i.e. category 15 of Scope 3).
GHG scopes included:
Summa Summa Equity’s target cover 100% of emissions in Scopes 1 & 2, and 99,4% of emissions in Scope 3. The Portfolio Coverage Target covers 100% of emissions in Scope 3: Category 15 – Investments. Targets do not cover other Scope 3 categories. Categories 1 through 14 comprise less than 0.6% of the total footprint.

Summa has derived its climate targets from the SBTi guidelines for private equity, which is aligned with the 1.5 degree scenarios used to develop the SBTi pathway for Financial Institutions.

Policy on coal and other fossil fuel investments:
Companies active in the fossil fuel sector are formally excluded in Summa’s policy framework and are not considered as potential investments under any Fund currently managed by Summa. The exclusion policy for fossil fuels covers 100% of Summa Equity’s current AUM, and applies to all funds currently under management. The full exclusion policies, and precontractual disclosures related to each fund, are currently available to investors only.
